Orchids love extra humidity and this windowsill sized humidity try will do the trick. At 6.5" x 26.25" it's long and narrow... I'm not sure it exactly fits on a windowsill, since I assume most windowsills are not 6" wide, but maybe? My home is quite modern, and we don't have traditional windowsills, so I'm no judge! But they are long and narrow, and fit well on tables without taking up the whole surface. Tray is made of black thick plastic, with two removable grids which keeps orchid pots above the surface of the water. No more trying to wash gross slimey pebbles from a pebble tray! Our humidity trays come apart easily for washing, should they need it! I actually know someone who puts their in the dishwasher, but I'm not sure I recommend this (and it's not in any manufacturing material!) These trays look nice despite being plastic.
