Cinnamon? What's it doing in the health control section? Well, cinnamon is known for being a natural fungicide and is excellent at reducing the effects of various rots in orchids! Non-toxic and yummy smelling, cinnamon can be used liberally on infected plants that may be exposed to children or pets. For Phalaenopsis crown rot, cut out affected area and coat with cinnamon powder. For spot rot on orchid psuedobulbs, trim out infected area and sprinkle on powdered cinnnamon with a heavy hand! A great and environmentally friendly alternative to chemical control! |
